This concept was first conceived in 2012-13 in the midst of a downturn within the mining industry - 2 people working in a
mining market realised there was a lot of good equipment laying around without a home under-utilised whilst there may
have been people looking for it right in the next suburb but they just didn’t know each other existed.
The second big point that came to light that it was always the customer who had to do all the work to find what they
wanted, ringing everyone and chasing up all manner of quotes and information, this platform allows the customer to list
their need, let the supplier provide the information in a simplified standardised format easy for the customer to decide
quickly – let the supplier do the work for the customer and in the same way provide the customer needs on a plate. The
realisation of this concept had a few false starts but with those hurdles came a much more dynamic result with a lot more
benefit integrating parts and reporting tools that justify decisions the more the platform is used.
